Having lost many pets I understand the meaning of loss. Lately, I was in a rehab center and they had many dogs come for visits to the patients. Having the feeling of comfort from the dogs was uplifting to the patients and gave them a feeling of security. When pets pass on, it really is different than another person leaving this world. Animals give so little of themselves and yet the treasure of love is eminent. Even though age can make a difference, in the end there will always be something missing.
